The 3-D design of the cartridge doubles the contact surface with water and leads to greatly improved degradation values. 3D activated carbon cartridges remove undesired pollutants and are specially designed for the following applications after the medication treatment or when the aquarium is newly installed. Activated carbon cartridges are only suitable for a short period of use (max. 3 weeks) and cannot be washed out.
