Instructions for Salifert Ammonium / Ammonia Profi-Test
The ammonia test can be used for both sea and fresh water.
Keep out of reach of children!
Test procedure:
1] Add 2 ml to the test tube with the 2 ml syringe.
2] Using the 1 ml syringe, draw 1 ml of reagent NH3.
3] Add 0.5 ml to the test tube with this syringe and gently mix for 30 seconds.
4] Add the remaining 0.5 ml of NH3 to the test tube and carefully mix for 10 seconds and then allow to stand for 3 minutes.
5] Gently mix test vessel for 5 seconds.
Now lift the test tube in front of you and look through one of the sides of the test vessel.
Hold the color palette behind the test tube.
Make sure the white area of ??the color palette is behind the liquid.
The value of the color palette indicates the total ammonium content (NH3 and NH4 + z ammonium and ammonia) in mg / L.
